The American Eugenics Movement, Tuskegee syphilis studies, treatment of mental illness, and the Henrietta Lacks cellular research present unique ethical challenges. This discussion explores the adverse history of the medical fields in relation to traditionally marginalized populations.

Panelists include Dee Ann DeRroin (Kickapoo), Native American physician; Bruce Glymour, Philosophy Professor, KSU; Evan Hart, History Professor, Missouri Western University; and Sara Wilson, anthropologist, Glore Psychiatric Museum.

This event is part of "Highland Community College Cultural Series," community discussions exploring the disenfranchisement of indigenous peoples and the role of social justice in medicine and technology.
