Cue the fireworks! The world premiere of the new Declaration at 250 short film is here! Produced by Humanities Kansas and the Creative Impact Alliance, the film captures the spirit of Kansans coming together for readings and discussions about the Declaration of Independence in Belleville, Franklin, Overland Park, and Tonganoxie. Watch the film.
In honor of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, Humanities Kansas, in partnership with 51 Kansas communities, brought America’s founding document to life through Declaration at 250. HK’s yearlong exploration of the of the Declaration of Independence is happening through traveling exhibitions and community conversations. Led by Kansas historians, Kansans across the state gathered for Declaration Conversations about the impact of democracy in American history and today.
