Mexican American Baseball in Kansas

In the 1930s through the 1950s, Mexican American immigrants worked the railroads in many Kansas towns, including Newton. For recreation, the workers formed baseball teams to play against teams in other railroad towns. Historian and author Raymond Olais will present the history of the Mexican American baseball teams in Kansas. Olais is co-author of the book Mexican American Baseball in Kansas City.
