"Sunflower Journeys" is a documentary television series that airs on KTWU Public Television, Topeka.

Hosted by Chris Hernandez

Our exploration of the Physiographic Regions of Kansas continues in the Chautauqua Hills of SE Kansas, with Rex Buchanan and Craig Freeman. We'll continue the "Chautauqua" theme in our studio when host Chris Hernandez visits with Sarah Bell from the Watkins Museum of History in Lawrence. Sarah explains how the Chautauqua Movement of the 1800s gave women a public voice, and allowed them to push for women's rights, including the right to vote. Finally, we revisit a story on the women's march of 1921 in Crawford County.
