Elements of Story - Discussion

Date and Time: February 13, 2020, 7:00 PM CT

Location: MidAmerica Nazarene University, 2030 E College Way, Mabee Learning Commons, Olathe
(view on google maps)

Presented by Daniel Schwabauer, author

Humans are storytellers in part because story is an emotional language—much like music. Because it operates by principles that are shared across generations and cultures, it is often used to pass hard-won experience from person to person. Story has the potential to lift, encourage, educate, and empower. Or it can be used to destroy.

Event is part of "Resilience Through Story," public programs at MidAmerica Nazarene University and the Olathe Public Library exploring how stories allow humans to cope with adverse life events.
