A Drive Through History Along the Post Rock Scenic Byway
Produced by the Amazing 100 Mile Tourism Coalition and Hometown Collaborations, this documentary explores the Historic Scenic Byway in Kansas. In the 19th century, pioneers discovered unique limestone formations along what is now K-232 through Ellsworth, Lincoln, and Russell counties in north central Kansas. Because this region is made up of treeless plains, settlers used the greenhorn limestone as material for building fences, houses, and farms.
Through viewing this documentary, you will take a drive along this scenic byway to witness the historic limestone structures that have stood the test of time.
