Presented by Marcin Jakubowski, Open Source Ecology, farmer and advocate for sustainability
Born in Poland, Jakubowski came to the US to study physics. His skills proved useless when he attempted to start a small farm in rural Missouri. Finding modern industrial farm equipment ill suited for sustainable farming, he built his own tractor. He now designs equipment that can be easily replicated and locally manufactured. Hear his compelling story of democratizing the means of agricultural production.
This event is part of "Highland Community College Cultural Series," community discussions exploring the disenfranchisement of indigenous peoples and the role of social justice in medicine and technology.
