Opening reception with special reading by Kerry Altenbernd
Poetry readings of the minority experience by selected poets
NAACP Guest Speaker, Ursula Minor
Dr. Dave Tell shares excerpts from his new book "Remembering Emmett Till"
Perry Shepard, of the Lawrence Arts Guild, will help attendees us poetry to inspire creative, artistic works.
Attendees and guests will create artistic expressions of their own.

Sunday, November 24 Events:
Local Lawrence high school students share their own thoughts and writings
Dr. Anthony Bolden, of KU's African American Studies Dept., speaks
Attendees and guests complete previous day art and poetry works
