The Spring at the Fairchild Farm - Indoor Exhibition

Date and Time: April 4, 2020

Location: Tonganoxie Community Historical Society, 201 W Washington St, Tonganoxie
(view on google maps)

Maps and historic drawings tell the story of the historic Fairchild Farm. Established by Frank and Mattie Fairchild in the 1880s, the farm became a thriving dairy business that operated a butter and cheese factory.

The exhibit is a companion to "The Spring at Fairchild Farm Interpretive Trail," an outdoor signage project exploring water usage through the story of a natural spring located on the grounds of the historic Fairchild Farm in Tonganoxie, once considered the "Dairy Center of Kansas."
