Join Humanities Kansas as we honor veterans and family members from 12 communities who participated in the Kansas Stories of the Vietnam War initiative and witness this historic moment as the Kansas stories and oral histories are officially handed over to the Library of Congress to become part of the Veterans History Project collection.
Special guests include Jon Peede, chairman of the National Endowment for the Humanities and Karen Lloyd, director of the Veterans History Project at the Library of Congress.
This event is part of "Kansas Stories of the Vietnam War," a statewide oral history project to commemorates 50 years since the escalation of US involvement in the Vietnam War.
