The social upheaval of the 1979 Islamic Revolution that overthrew the Pahlavi monarchy in Iran provides the context for this panel discussion. Artists Azadeh Aklaghi and Gohar Dashti discuss the personal, political, and social themes in their work with Dr Jessica Gerschultz, African/African American Studies Professor, University of Kansas.

This event is part of "Burnt Generation," an exhibition that showcases Iranian artists who are part of the generation that survived the Iran/Iraq War and the Iranian Revolution.
